We are preparing for our third year with the Splash Into Safety swim program and we will once again be in St George, serving the children of DD4. The pool will be placed at Davis-Bailey Park this year.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, students from Dorchester School District Four attended a Soft Skills Training Workshop at Trident Technical College! 🎓✨ Organized by Career Specialist Rania Thompson, this dynamic experience helped students strengthen key skills in interviewing, workplace etiquette, critical thinking, marketing, leadership, and teamwork. These life and career skills are essential for success in both college and the workforce. Congratulations to our first cohort of Parent Leadership Partners in Dorchester School District Four! Our parents participated in an eight-week course facilitated by Chaquilla Green (Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator) and Dr. Robyn Mixon (Transition Specialist). The course focused on increasing and strengthening parental engagement within our school community. “Parents” included any adult serving as the primary caretaker or guardian of a student. The goals of the program were to: Increase parents’ capacity to advocate for their children’s educational needs, as well as for school improvement for all students Increase parents’ awareness of available tools and resources beneficial to them and their children PLP sessions were built around seven research-based modules developed by Yasha Jones Becton, Ed.D. The modules were incorporated into a parent workbook covering topics related to leadership skill development, navigating the education system, and strategies for supporting their children's learning and development.

Now HIring Position: Summer Break Café Food & Nutrition Technician Duties & Responsibilities Prepare various food items like sandwiches, wraps, and snacks, following established recipes and food safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning dishes, sweeping, and mopping. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage. Assist with stocking food supplies and ensuring adequate food inventory. Requirements & Physical demands Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift Ability to reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
